Hopefully that will all change with Mutants in Manhattan. Due out later this year and developed by PlatinumGames (the Japanese studio behind the likes of Bayonetta and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance), MiM will let players traverse the sewers, subways, and streets of New York City — complete with four-player online co-op — as they take on Shredder and Krang’s Foot By Foot organization. The game also assures the return of old series favorites like Bebop and Rocksteady, as well as an original story written by IDW’s TMNT writer, Tom Waltz.As for the scraps of gameplay we actually see, it looks like Platinum is taking its cues from the classic Konami brawlers of yore, while adding a couple of touches of their own. It seems that the Turtles can team up to take down squads of foot with superb moves, and that all four Turtles will be around to give that ninja clan the beatings it deserves.
